Snows Stool By Baek-Ki Kim

snows stool

The snows stool by Baek-Ki Kim was inspired by a scene of ‘Kim chi’ (the name of Korean traditional food) jars on a terrace covered in snow. This stool can be used both as a stool and a storage container if you want. A jar covered in snow is cold thing but the form feels warm and makes you want to sit on it. Also it can be used to store something to use for example like toys, books and bottle of wines etc. Covered in snow composes the cushion. It looks as if it is covered in snow, but actually the cushion is made of Polyethylene Foam. It is inspired by the Korean traditional jar’s functions and shapes and it is made by plastic (blow mould or gas injected polypropylene). Actually this stool also can be recycle back to nature same as the real “snows”.

From the maker of ETIM Clock - Sungho Lee, here another design that maybe can spice up your room spaces. Unlike most tables used for only one purpose and having just one appearance, this table is customized to function as both a tea table and work desk. The design provides different looks for each purpose. After lifting the ‘hidden table tops’ twice, the cute tea table is transformed into a convenient desk. The front drawer can store big magazines and newspapers.

Eiger North Light By Matthias Ries

eiger light

Eiger North Light by Matthias Ries shows in a provocative way the weakness and vulnerability of preservation and conservation in the lighting design. In order to experience the golden shine you need to let loose your destructive inner. Great design but for sure I don’t want to get close to this light if I on a bad mood.
